Seb Fontaine Courtroom Session

Last Saturday, we hosted our first Masterclass with Seb Fontaine. The Courtroom Session kicked off with a Q&A in which the audience quizzed Seb about his career, his opinions on popular culture and the technology he uses. Our guests had so much to ask Seb that the Q&A was longer than expected – don’t worry if you missed out, the livestream is on our Facebook page.

Following the Q&A, Seb got in the judges chair and showed us all how it’s done. A few lucky people had the chance to go B2B with Seb and left feeling inspired to find their own sound. We are very grateful to Seb for being so gracious and taking the time to speak to everyone individually.

After the Masterclass, we headed to Saltbox for the night. Cream took over the main stage and Seb performed a sold-out set. FourFour hosted Room 2, and some of our students played out for the first time. We were also joined by the boys from Movement Music Events, who played the closing set.

We had an amazing time on Saturday. Big thanks to everybody who came along – stay tuned for the next Masterclass!

Open Day!

On Saturday 20th October, we opened our doors to the public for the first time. A host of local DJs played live in our courtyard, and the Academy itself was buzzing with excitement.

We had an amazing day after 10 long months of hard work. We received excellent feedback on the space, with people loving our graffiti feature walls. We were lucky enough to have the legends Dilk, SmallKid and GrimFinga come in, to give each of our rooms a different character.

We are now enrolling students onto our range of different courses. We’re so excited to begin our journey as a business, and to become a hub within the Nottingham music scene.
